How much will it cost? The cost of a loft conversion depends on many factors. To get a free and detailed quote, contact us and we will visit to show you the options available. A loft conversion can start from around £18,000 but an average one may be between £30,000 to £40,000 depending on size and other factors. An eco loft can be more expensive but not vastly so and we are still able to provide eco friendly measures in all our conversions.
How long will it take? Depending on the work required, we expect the conversion to take between 5 – 10 weeks, depending on the size and difficulty. If a slightly more complex conversion is undertaken then this may be longer but this will be outlined in our no-obligation quote to you. Our predictions are honest and will give you a realistic time frame for your loft conversion. We don’t over promise and under deliver at Creating Space. We just tell you how it is.
Do I need to inform the neighbours? Any work which affects the shared wall (party wall) between your property means that you need to inform your neighbours prior to work commencing. We can advise you on how this should be done but in the meantime you can look here for more information.
Will I need to deal with the council? We will deal with the council on your behalf throughout the entire process. From obtaining skip licenses to receiving planning permission, we will take all the stress and paperwork off your hands, leaving you free to focus on the important things. Like how you want it to be decorated. And even then, we can do that all for you as well. We can do as little or as much as you require.
Will my house resemble a building site? A loft conversion is relatively pain free in this respect as for the majority of the time, all work is contained to the loft itself and the exterior of the house. Once we break through and put the stairs in, the conversion process will enter your home but the disruption will be minimal. Our teams will maintain a clean and respectful site, inside and outside, at all times.
Is it guaranteed? All our work comes with a ten year guarantee. Any problems and we will immediately come round to ensure any issues are dealt with. We also have full liability and insurance as a company and will show you these details before any work begins.
